Security & Surveillance

Cameras are the easy part. Coverage is the work.

A surveillance system is only as good as what it can actually see, how long it keeps it, and whether anyone can find the footage when it matters. CSS designs around those three questions.

COVERAGE, NOT CAMERA COUNT
01Coverage

Camera positions chosen for the sightlines that matter.

02Retention

Storage sized to how far back you need to look.

03Access

Footage that can be found and reviewed when it is needed.

The problem

Most disappointing CCTV installations were specified by camera count. The cameras exist, but the angle misses the doorway, the recorder holds a fortnight when the investigation needs two months, or nobody can retrieve the clip.

What CSS does here. CSS surveys the site, designs the camera and recording layout around what you need to see and keep, and installs and configures the system — including the network and power it depends on.

What this covers

  • CCTV cameras and recording systems
  • Site survey and coverage design
  • Access control systems
  • Recording storage and retention
  • Network and power for surveillance
  • Maintenance and fault call-outs

Technology we work with

How we work

From requirement to running system

The same sequence whether the job is one machine or a site-wide rollout.

  1. Understand

We start with how your organisation actually works — sites, users, existing equipment and the constraints you are operating under.

  2. Design

We propose an approach sized to the requirement, and explain the trade-offs so the decision is yours to make with full information.

  3. Supply

We source the equipment and licensing through the manufacturers and distribution channels we work with.

  4. Implement

Our engineers install and configure on site, and test the result against what was agreed before handover.

  5. Support

We stay available afterwards — for questions, changes, faults and the maintenance that keeps the environment working.
